We can step up on the big stage - Prings

The 24 year old talks to the Advertiser about playing at the national stadium; " I've never even been to Wembley. Newcastle were never good enough to get there apart from the two cup finals they were in, and I was too young to go."

“The only play-off game I've played in was in that UniBond play-off final about six or seven years ago. We won and although it's nothing much now, it was a big achievement at the time. But whether you can compare that to a League One final at Wembley, I don't know.“

Looking back at the 2nd leg win over Preston, Prings rated it as one of his best performances in a Millers shirt, with the woodwork denying him a goal; “I couldn't believe it when I hit the woodwork, If it had gone in then that would have been the perfect performance for me. To score would have been nice but I'll save a goal for Wembley hopefully."

“My dad was there to watch me on Thursday, which was great, and a few of my family will be going to watch this weekend. Going there is just another thing to add to a brilliant season and if we win it will be unbelievable, but we can't mark it down as anything yet.”

“For me, we've come through the hardest semi-final scenario and we'll have to wait and see what happens with Leyton now. When it's a big game, all our players turn up. This last one is going to be far bigger than any we've had this season but I'm confident all the players can step up.” he added.
