We can make the top three - Jaybo

The 23-year-old midfielder was loaned out to Rochdale last season as he helped them gain automatic promotion to League One.

"I'm just happy to be playing at the minute and I'll take it game by game and enjoy my football and take it from there," said Taylor.

"I loved it at Rochdale. We were winning games and (their manager) Keith Hill and (assistant) David Flitcroft are very good to get on with. It was a great team spirit and we were ruthless and efficient and I think we can do the same here."

In a frank interview, Taylor looked back at last season when he was farmed out by Ronnie Moore and added: "To be honest, I'm always confident in my own ability. I know what I can do and what I bring to the team. It's just that sometimes some managers see things differently than others.

"Sometimes it is hard when you move to a new club. You need a run of games in the side and when it is chopping and changing it is difficult to find form. Sometimes you have to impress there and then and if you don't you're out of the team.

"The same as everyone else, I want to be playing every game. I'm no good to anyone while I'm on the bench. This is a new start for me. I have high hopes for this year and I personally think we should be in the top three."
