Warrington signed a 2 year deal at Millmoor today, and will presumably take the number 1 jersey after the departure of Neil Cutler who has been released.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield's Football Heaven programme, 30 year old Warrington explained the move.

"I had a phone call a couple of weeks ago and as soon as I found out that Rotherham were intrested then all I wanted to do was speak to Rotherham. things have worked out well and I'm a Rotherham player now." he said.

Andy then was asked how Mark Robins had sold the club to him, "He said that after relegation this season the main objective is to get promotion. I had 8 good seasons at Doncaster and had a couple of promotions there but hopefully we can bounce back at the first attempt and get back in League One. It's only a couple of years ago the club was in the Championship."

"It's a big club and I'm relishing the opportunity to go there and hopefully get the club back where it belongs."

Living locally, the offer from the Millers was an obvious plus for him, "That was a big point for me, I got an offer from Bury, they wanted to keep me but as soon as I knew Rotherham wanted me there was no question. It was a no brainer really."

"Speaking to Mark and the plans for the future there will be comings and goings like every club, but having played in League Two since January it will be a tall order as its a tough division but I don't see a problem really."
