Speaking to the clubs official site www.themillers.co.uk the gaffer gave his thoughts.

“Obviously, I’m pleased. I quite enjoy winning. I thought we over complicated the game a bit first half."

“The goal we got came from a ball in from REG, which I asked him at half time if I’d not asked him to cross it, would he have? And he said no.

“We had midfielders running out wide and trying to help the wingers and I just thought we over-complicated it a bit.

“It was a difficult game for both teams in the conditions. The wind and the pitch wasn’t amazing. It was a really ugly game really. I came in at half-time thinking one wouldn’t be enough.

“I thought our second half performance was better than our first and we limited them to very little. Crewe came at us with the wind behind them but we managed the game really well. The sending off had a big part to play as we scored from the free-kick.”

“REG came off having damaged his hamstring and that doesn’t seem good because he was very sore.

“Overall, I’m really pleased. I’ve said to the lads there’s 20 games left and these three points mean as much as any other. If you can finish the season without having to go into the Play-offs it would be really good.”

Warne spoke about the incident of alledged missile throwing from the Millers section of the ground which hit the linesman..

“It’s embarrassing and it is completely unacceptable. If it was one of our fans and it has been seen by CCTV then the culprit should be punished,”

“It’s a concern for me as a human being. If that was one of my fans that is found to have done that then they should be punished.”
