Warne - We didnt take our chances

I’m obviously hugely disappointed, The lads are disappointed. I thought we were excellent today. I’d like to think that every Rotherham fan that turned up today left the stadium really proud of their team. I thought we were excellent. Sheffield Wednesday haven’t been conceding goals and we should have had a hatful. From the first five minutes, we were in the ascendency for the whole game."

“We created the most chances and looked the most threatening. We thoroughly deserved the win. But, unfortunately, we didn’t take our chances and it went to the 100th minute and they got the equaliser."

“I’m tinged with huge disappointment but, if I’m honest, I’ve just said to the lads that I’m hugely proud of what they’ve achieved today. They’ve played really well and can take that confidence into the next game.”

“To concede a late goal is disgusting, if I’d have scored it, I’d have been happy, It was a great day as I stood there as their manager thinking ‘these lads are great’. Are they taking on the information we give them and are they the best they can be? Yeah, I think they are. That gives me great pride and hope with the 13 games remaining."

“We’ve got a great dressing room in there. Most of my lads are coming back fit now and like last year we finished the season really strong – I think we will again this year. When I wake up in the morning I’ll still be proud with how we played. The Rotherham fans were great today, it’s just a disappointment that we haven’t come away with the win for them."

“It’s still a point in the bank and that point can be crucial. I wouldn’t say we threw it away but it was hugely disappointing. Unfortunately, mistakes happen in games and people don’t take chances. We didn’t take all our chances."

“We haven’t scored enough goals for the good play we do. It’s not for the lack of effort. Other teams have other options but we are the best at what we can be and I have no shame in that.”
