With Danny Ward not in the starting lineup yesterday, the rumour mill went into overdrive with rumours of his imminent departure, however boss Paul Warne gave a different story in his post match presser.

Warne admitted there have been bids recieved for Ward, but not at where the Millers value him.

'Yes there have been but they've been rejected because they aren't at the level which we want, Yes, there is loads of interest in Wardy and so there should be. He's a very good player and he's been our talisman. And I said to the lads that when our team sheet goes in and Norwich see Wardy's not on it they will be buzzing."

“He’s flown to Naples to sign for ..., No, he’s done his back. He’s had a ‘twingy’ back. There are no massive smoke and mirrors. “If we had lost today, I would have loved to have seen Twitter. I don’t go near it anymore. But it would have been absolute Rumour Mill Central."

“He’ll be training on Monday. Unless I get a bid of ridiculous amounts of money, he’ll be in the squad to face Newcastle next week.” Warne added.
