Walk on, walk on!

Shortly after 3am, fans took to the streets to support the Save the Millers campaign.

The walk commenced from Millmoor with a tough challenge ahead, especially for those younger walkers, some as young as 12 and 13 years of age. These people deserve a special mention, the next generation of Millers fans doing their bit for their club - fantastic!

Several outstanding stories arose from the walk, with people putting their hands in their pockets to help Rotherham United. One driver donated £50 by stopping off on route in his car. Most importantly, these walkers all worked as a team and helped each other along the way, the re-launch of Millermen has
helped everyone to stand united as one in the efforts made to help the club survive.

A big final well done to everyone, a credit to your club. Massive thanks must go to Mark Hitchens, walk organiser and supporters club chairman, and not forgetting the vital role of the support vehicles and first aiders. Keep the fundraising going.

The sponsorship money for those that took part needs to be collected in by a week on Tuesday if possible, and passed to ticket office staff down at Millmoor in an envelope marked 'Huddersfield walk money - Mark Hitchens' or 'David Hall'.
