Two-News-Bite's - October 30th

This week saw Accrington Stanley given a bit more time to pay the £308.000 to the HM Revenue and Customs. Stanley claimed on Tuesday that £200.000 of the debt as been repaid but the club's lawyer indicated that only £96,000 had been sent to the HMRC.

Notts County finally got their new manager as Sven Goran Eriksson has brought in his old assistant Hans Backe. Backe, who worked under Eriksson at Man City and in Mexico has replaced the sacked Ian McParland.

Dagenham and Redbridge manager John Still as signed a new contract that will keep him at Victoria Road until 2014. Still as done a fantastic job with the Daggers guiding them from the conferance into league 2 and they currently sit in second spot. The 59 year-old is very happy and has pledged his long-term future to the Essex club.

Darlington have again been very busy in the transfer market this week bringing in 2 more players. Goalkeeper Ashlee Jones joins on a free after he was released by Wycombe in the summer while Nathan Mulligan, a former trainee at Middlesbrough who has been playing in the Northern League with Norton & Stockton, also joins.

Chesterfield have extended the loan spells of David Perkins and Mark Little.
Perkins is on loan from Colchester and will stay at Saltergate for a further two months untill the beginning of January. Little's loan deal has been extended for one month initially but he could also stay untill the start of 2010.
