Evans spoke to BBC Radio Sheffield ahead of the weekend game with in form Bristol City.
"I think if we get two wins we accept we will be in the play-offs and the sooner we get those two wins then the better because we can then prepare, while having a look where the top two are to see if that becomes achievable.
"if it does, then knowing the players we`ve got we will have a right go. But it will be very difficult because we would have to win probably every game with Wolves, Brentford and Leyton Orient having to lose a few of theirs.
"We are on a fantastic run of form and the credit for that goes to the players and then to the supporters who have helped us with those late goals.
"A lot of that is obviously down to the fitness levels and a lot of it down to the player who gets the late goal but also down to the patience of our supporters. When we are trying to get a winner or an equaliser late on in the game they stay with us and that's essential."
