Pollitt
The Millers have today turned down another bid for Mike Pollitt from Nottingham Forest, this time for £200’000. The club have again stressed that they do not want to sell players and that the intention is still to avoid relegation.

Phill Henson told the official site: "We still believe that we can escape relegation and the spirit throughout the club is superb"

"Obviously holding onto our best players is all part of the affirmation that we are determined to fight all the way."

Meanwhile the club has today submitted plans for the building of the new 4200 seater main stand. The stand’s features will include club offices and a club retail store, a concourse for match day food and drink outlets, banqueting and conference facilities, hospitality boxes, and an educational centre with IT facilities. More details of the stand including images will be revealed at tonight’s fans meeting at MAGNA.

On the pitch, the reserves drew 0-0 with Sheffield Wednesday at Millmoor in what was reported as an evenly matched game. The team consisted of experience and youth, and lined up: Montgomery, Mudd, Minto, Vernazza, King, Ludlam, Hoskins, Daws (Bradford 64), Warne, Proctor (Newsham 79), Duncum (Kay 46). Subs: Hedge, Brogan.
