Tubbs - The fitness will come

With a lack of games at parent club Bournemouth and an injury during pre-season, the 29 year old hasnt yet hit full fitness, but is adament when it does, he will score the goals.

“Of course it will feel better once I've scored my first goal but I'm not chasing that at the moment. I'm not one to get disheartened about not scoring. All I can do is keep working hard and keep trying to put myself in the right positions. I know with the squad here that we will create chances and I know that one day one is going to go in."

“I had a setback with my pre-season and it pretty much didn't start until the first game because I had a month off and that set me back massively. The fitness will come and the fitter I get, the more positions I'll be getting in to score.”

Meanwhile, he thinks the Millers have what it takes to push for promotion;  “The players here are more than capable of playing in the Championship and I think that will show further on when we gell more as a team.”

“In the first few games, it is 100mph. Give it a month or two and you start really taking notice of the league, but for a team that's just got promoted to be positioned seventh at this stage is all credit to Rotherham. With the players, the infrastructure with the stadium and the fan base, there's no reason why we shouldn't be pushing for the play-off places.”
