Odejayi hasn't started a game since February and winger Ainsworth was also restricted to bench roles in the latter part of last season after returning from injury and a loan stint with Aldershot. Neither figured in the main pre-season friendlies and have been training with the youth side.
Along with Danny Schofield, they have been told they are free to leave but are yet to do so.
Gaffer Steve Evans told the Advertiser today: “None of the three are going to play. Regarding Kayode and Lionel, and let others be the judge, they have turned down opportunities to leave here permanently for other clubs; good ones in League One and Two.
“They've also turned down loan moves to clubs in those divisions and that's their perogative but they are not going to figure in the plans here.”
