Tranmere wouldn't budge - Moore

Tranmere wanted around 50 grand for Thomas-Moore, but with the Millers sticking to their original offer of around 35k, the deal was dead after yesterdays 6pm window slammed shut.

Ronnie said he was frustrated but hinted he would look to other routes to bolster his squad.

He told the clubs official website: "It was a frustrating day more than anything.

"We are lucky in a way because we can still use the loan system so maybe that is the road we go down. I was disappointed that we couldn't get another striker in, I would have liked to bring Ian in but Tranmere wouldn't shift on their valuation.

"You never know in football in a week's time much can change but if it is a dead duck deal then we will look somewhere else."

Meanwhile the club revealed they had turned down one official bid from Plymouth for Adam Le Fondre, who scored in last nights 1-0 win over Lincoln City in the JPT.
