But Evans will only savour the occasion if he returns home with three points.

"It's a club that I have watched a lot when I haven't been managing," Evans said. "I think it's fitting that my 100th game is at Peterborough, I will have family who are in the home end too.

"My 100th game in charge is there but it will only be truly meaningful if we leave London Road with the three points.

"You have got two managers that like to play football the right way," the Millers boss adds.

"We would all love to emulate what Darren Ferguson has done, he has led Peterborough to a number of promotions and he knows what it takes to be successful in League One. I have a lot of respect for him."
