The view from the opposition dug-out: Penney's post-match thoughts

Darlington manager Dave Penney had mixed feelings after seeing his side come from behind to draw with the Millers in yesterday's entertaining match between two of the better teams in this league.

Speaking to the Northern Echo after the game, Penney found a mixture of positives and negatives in his side's performance.

"I think we deserved a point at least", said the former Doncaster boss, "We weren't at the races in the first half but we got better as the game went on."

"Having said that, we opened them up twice in the first half and Gregg had two one-on-ones with the keeper. If we're being greedy, if Pawels shot had been a bit lower or Gregg Blundell had been on target from the rebound we would have won. We created enough chances to have won it."

"I think they had more possession than us in the first half but we had the better chances. We freshened it up a bit by putting some subs on, we got the equaliser and could have nicked it at the end."
