The Players are getting better - Warne

“I told them that I’m well aware that when a new manager comes in you get a little bit of a response for two or three games, but it’s been four now and I think they’re getting better, I’m hoping that over the next three games, if I’m still in charge they’ll keep their standards up. We’re trying to be positive with them and the training has been good and they’re enjoying it.” Warne said.

Warne added that its hard to please everybody; “They’re just human beings and I just look at them as 10-year-old boys in adult bodies, they just want to play football and unfortunately in my job, I can only let 11 of 25 of them do that, It’s a difficult job trying to keep them all motivated, but like I say the training standard has been excellent and it gives me massive hope coming into these two games.”

Warne's also please with the way the team's responding; “I put it mostly down to my comedy skills, The staff and the lads we’ve got are buying into what we’re trying to say. We had a meeting and I told them my honest opinions and if we’d won 3-0 I’d still have shown them the clips of good play and bad play and how we can eradicate the latter and try and improve on that."
