The fans can help us - Cresswell

After a drab 1-1 draw against Macclesfield on Tuesday night, the full time whistle gave way to a chorus of boo's at Don Valley stadium.

The Swinton born 22 year old Miller gave his thoughts to the 'Tiser; "Obviously the fans weren't happy the other night but we need them to be behind us and we need that extra push. I know we should have it ourselves but you don't have it every game and you need fans there supporting you." he said.

"I'm not saying, 'if you see someone do something bad, cheer them.' Just give them a lift. We know when we're having a bad time and hitting a bit of a sticky patch. We're not meaning to make mistakes."

"We knew what their game plan would be and we tried to play out from the back to find the strikers' chests and work from there, but it was disappointing the match went. We didn't have a high enough tempo in the final third and we didn't get the ball wide enough times."

"Credit to Alfie, he got us out of trouble again but if we'd been a bit more committed to get on the end of things then we would have been better off."

With the Millers league form stuttering, Ryan is happy with a break with 2 cup games coming up; "We're having a blip but we want to get out of it and we will get out of it because we've got the players who can. The gaffer shouldn't be worried and the lads aren't worried. If we start moving the ball about and scoring goals then the fans will soon change."he said
