The demands of the job are high - Stewart

Stewart has had almost 40 applicants for the post after Andy Scott was sacked at the start of the week.

He said: "We've got to have the right person to do the job. Anyone manager coming into a job, especially at Rotherham United, knows the demands are pretty high. We want people to get us from A to Z as quickly as possible.

"Andy made the club more professional and it was very impressive but it didn't appear on the pitch and that stats don't lie.

"He did it at Brentford but unfortunately he couldn't do it for us and the board felt we needed a change."

Former Doncaster and Bournemouth gaffer Sean O'Driscoll is the front runner amongst fans for the post in our online poll, which has pulled nearly 500 votes in 24 hours.
