Taylor responded excellently - Robbo

Speaking to todays Rotherham Star, gaffer Mark Robins was full of praise for the 19 year old's attitude.

"I thought he came through with flying colours and that was good to see and an excellent response, Ryan was angry with himself last Saturday and frustrated because he wants to do well." Robbo said.

"He's a local boy, he's just got in the side and he'd put in a great performance the previous week. Then he did well in the first half against Grimsby but then it's not gone right all the time for him. In the second half he's found it a lot tougher and he comes off. They made it harder but it's a man's league, it's grow up time. The previous week, he used his body well, put in a performance and was challenging for the ball, which is what the crowd expect whether it's here or at Burton Albion."

"I didn't see any problem with him whatsoever in the first half but he fell a bit short in the second half so can go away and learn from it. He is going to be a good player but, like young players coming through, they have to realise - and will do - that there are certain things you have to do. It's the ugly part of the game, it's not just about silky touches." he added

"Well, on Tuesday, he led the line very well, won his fair share in the air against big defenders and this will stand him in good stead. That's gone. Now he has to do it again in the next game." Robins warned
