Takeover deal close?

Over the last week or so, it looked as if Neil Freeman was about to make another attempt to buy the club, but it is now looking like a deal with Earth Mortgage's is a virtualy done deal.

However, us Millers fans will know the score by now as we've been here before, nothing will be taken as gospel until everything is finalised and the keys handed over!

Earth Finance have sponsored the Millers since the start of last season, after the club struggled to find a sponsor. They also pump a lot into Donny Rovers, and thier 'stadium' is named after them the Earth Stadium. They also back their Youth set-up.

Contacts have told me that although the club shop and ticket office were closed yesterday (Saturday) a lot of the staff were actually in the club, it's been mentioned on the messageboards that they were stocktaking in preparation for the takeover deal.

Staying on?
Full details of the deal have yet to be confirmed but rumours ae saying that the main stand project will be given the green light straight away and that current Chairman Ken Booth will stay at the club as President.

Manager Ronnie Moore will no doubt be offered a new contract, his current contract runs out in July, also rumoured are some of the names that are free to leave Rotherham United. Paulo Vernazza, Scott Minto and suprisingly Will Hoskins. Darren Garner is also on the transfer list so he will be able to get some modelling jobs hrmph.

Has Freeman lost out or is he part of this deal?? talk about it on the MillersMad Messageboard
