After coming for critism over their decision to officially back the Dino Maccio & Alan Cartlidge bid to take over the Millers, the Supporters Club faces an uncertain future after the majority of it board resigned at its AGM.

The only person to continue in their roll is vice chairman Pete Bradford.

The supporters club have arranged another members only meeting on June 30th at the Green Dragon in the hope that more people will come out and put themselves up for election to the board.

Former chairman Steve Pearce told this weeks Advertiser; "It is sad that we are having to stand down and we were all reluctant to do it. We don't want to put the supporters' club's future in any doubt but it has been a very difficult 12 months."
"You have to be prepared to accept criticism in our position but so much of it has been unfair. We backed the Dino Maccio bid and we were ridiculed for it
when the information we received was that it was a good bid and in the best interests of the football club."

"Two of the committee were verbally abused and that was unacceptable. We do this because we love Rotherham United."

Pearce also added that the club had tried to do its best to help the club through its financial crisis, but had not recieved co-operation from the club's previous board.

"I do hope the supporters' club can form a good relationship with the new chairman, Tony Stewart, I also hope new people will come forward before the June 30 meeting to serve on the committee." he added.

Coming from last weeks AGM the supporters club have elcted Clive Hartley as the new chairman and one other committee member was elected, however nominations are being still being sought for the rolls of secretary, treasurer, membership secretary, travel organiser and five committee members.

Nominations are being taken on the night of the meeting at the Green  Dragon. Entry is by 2007/08 or 2008/09 membership cards only.

Membership renewals are be taken in the Moulders Rest, Masbrough Street, on Thursday nights (6pm-8pm).
