Strong ressies take on Imps as Law struggles

Last updated : 16 September 2009 By Deano
The second string take on the Imps at DVS (kick off 1pm) and caretaker manager Steve Thornber will oversee a strong line up.

Nick Fenton continues his comeback from injury whilst Steve Borgan will play a part.

Tom Pope, who played 20 minutes in Saturday's draw with Morecambe, and Micky Cummins also play having missed first team action recently with injuries.

Thornber told the clubs offical website: "Tom will probably play half a game and probably Nick Fenton aswell so it's a strong line up.

Elsewhere the injuries from Saturdays game to Nicky Law and skipper Ian Sharps are not as bad as first feared, although Law may be a doubt for the weekend trip to Cheltenham.

Steve added: "They didn't train yesterday and Nicky Law is struggling for Saturday. Ian Sharps should be fine and we hope to have him training on Thursday so his situation is looking more positive."

Sharps has been suffering with a tweak in his hamstring whilst Law has a badly bruised toe and needed painkilling injections before the weekend as both were substituted at half time.

Today's expected team: Annerson, Lynch, Brogan, J Taylor, Fenton, Nicholas, Liddell, Cummins, Broughton, Pope, Warne.
