The Keepmoat Stadium complex at Doncaster, Balby Carr Sports College in Doncaster and Dearne Valley College have all been used as training grounds sionce the Millers left Hooton Lodge.

Now the Youngsters and the academy are set to join the senior squad up at Roundwood next week. Youth development coach Tony Mee said: "After all the ground-hopping we have had to do, it will be good to work alongside the first team again.

"There has been so much work done at Roundwood on the pitches but the first team getting to last season's playoffs, great as it was, put everything back. It will make a massive difference to the youngsters and save on all the commuting."

Douglas added: "At the moment the complex is owned by Corus and leased to Parkgate Recreational Services.

"We are looking for more space and another pitch at Roundwood but as regards any future plans we are aware that they have to protect their members' interests and ensure they are not put out in any way.

"As I say, the site is leased at the moment but given our chairman's belief that ownership is better than rental, if it became available for sale then I'm sure we would be keen on that."
