Shaw pens deal with Spireites

Shaw met Chessie chairman Barrie Hubbard and boss Roy McFarland this morning to thrash out final terms and penned a deal to confirm his move away from Millmoor.

Shaw rejected reduced terms with Rotherham to move to the Derbyshire club. McFarland told Chesterfield's official site: "I'm delighted to sign Paul despite strong interest from other clubs. He has qualities which can only strengthen the team as we look to compete with the best of them next season."
