Ian Sharps missed last weekends game and although the rumour mill was out in full force, saying he was on his way to Peterborough, in fact the 28 year old has a hernia problem which requires surgery.

Sharps will go under the knife next week and will be out for at least 5 weeks.

Gaffer Mark Robins told todays 'Tiser; "It is a blow. He is struggling and we will have to get him in for an op as soon as possible. When he was first starting to feel it I thought it was a hernia and the scans have now proved that."

"It will be five or six weeks before he's back and ready."

Pablo Mills looks set to move back into his favoured position in Sharps absence.
