With his transfer just being completed, new signing Ian Sharps gives his views on his move to the Millers.

Gerry asked Sharps if he had any worries about moving to Millmoor, "No, none at all. It's a good prospect really with all the players theyre bringing its hopefully going to get us on the right way."

Asked why he wanted to leave Tranmere Rovers, Ian said, "A lot of things made me want to leave really. Ronnie Moore has come in and he's got his own ideas and wants to bring his own players in. I wanted a change as well. So its good for all of us."

"I'm a defender and I like to defend, so hopefully I'll bring a few clean sheets. I've only missed about 6 games in the last 2 years, this is the only division I've ever played in and I've got about 200 games under my belt."

Asked about the 10point deduction, and if it put him off coming to Millmoor, Sharps said, "Nah, it's a challenge and if and when we succeed it will be a brilliant achievement to stay up. We're guarenteed to be favorites to go down, but we've got to prove them wrong and I'm confident we can."
