Set play's will make a difference for us - Moore

Speaking to the Star today, Moore looked to the big lads at the back after both of them scored at the weekend in the 3-2 win over Accrington.

"We knew that we were bigger and stronger than Accrington and that it was a matter of getting some quality on the set plays from Nicky and Kevin. We also have Exodus's long throw which can make a big difference when we have got height advantage." he said.

"We have got to be able to score goals from set plays as games are going to be really tight this season. I don't think there is an awful lot between the majority of the teams."

"In tight situations, a corner or a free-kick or long throw can win you a game and that was proved on Saturday. We spend a lot of time on set-plays because they are important. We can't just rely on Alfie scoring every game. We need everyone chipping in."

Last season Moore bemoaned the lack of goals from the defenders, this season is different with Summer signing and captain Cresswell having scored 4 goals already.

"When I was here last time, we used to have Martin McIntosh and Chris Swailes who used to pop up with goals on a regular basis so it is nice to see Ryan and Exodus getting in amongst the goals, They are both aggressive in the box. "

"If you are going to score goals you have got to be aggressive and willing to take an elbow or whatever. Both centre-backs have shown that they are willing to do that for the cause so that is a good thing for us." Moore added.
