Speaking this week to the Advertiser, Scott admitted: “We are playing catch-up and we need to win games.
"The spell in September and early October has given us a mountain to climb. We are getting there slowly but not quickly enough but if we keep playing like we did on Tuesday then there is no reason why we can't put a spurt in and start going up that hill and getting there.
“All we can do is try and win every game and I think our form and our results on the whole since the beginning of December show we're a lot more solid and harder to beat.
"If we'd had that since the beginning of the season, without doubt we'd be higher. What we’ve got to do now is take this forward into the rest of the season and into next year as well, whichever league we are in.”
