RUFC Press release - Friday April 11th PM

Last updated : 12 April 2008 By Deano
The statement reads as follows:

Several Interested parties had requested an extension to the original deadline to make offers to purchase the club.

In the interest of creditors and to achieve the best possible bid for the club, I have agreed to this request and extended the deadline by one week to 5pm Friday 18th April.

All interested parties have been notified of this extension.

Bleazard confirmed that SEVEN interested parties have now been issued with sales packs.

He explained: "The problem any administrator faces when trading a company is that of funding the business until completion of a sale.

"I am seeking deferrals and have implemented other essential cost savings to reduce the outgoings of the club. I am at the stage where I need help to fund the clubs everyday survival until a funder or purchaser is found.

"I am looking for donations, no matter how little in size, to assist with the day to day runnings of the club which can be made directly to RUFC."

Meanwhile the players are due to meet with the PFA in the near future to discuss their wage deferrals. They have agreed, it has been confirmed, to defer all monies for the month of April.
