Radio Sheffield interviewed Ronnie and asked him about the first board
Summat like new stand
meeting which Ronnie attended, "The new owner spoke to me before the press conference for 25 minutes, and they told me their views and plans of what they're going to do which is all fine if it comes off. If we can have a new stand up here by December 1st then its positive for the football club."

"They have to stand on their own 2 feet after May 31st, and thats the big test, basically they need to get some money in the bank and thats why tomorrows game is so important to everybody. They've put no pressure on me at all, but I'm sure they would like to have £250 grand in the bank from the next round."

When asked about a new contract for himself, Ronnie told them "We didnt even talk about my contract in the first meeting, it was only later on in the press conference when somebody asked, they said it would be 8-12 weeks, so I'll have to wait 8 to 12 weeks to see what they're going to do."

"They've said that they need to get to know me, it seems strange that its a supporters group that they dont know me by know, they'll never know me!. But I can understand probably what they're talking about as a person do we get on? will we get on?? But at the end of the day its about if you can do teh job, thats the most important thing! - and I dont think theres anybody out there that can do better than I have done at the moment."

After that Ronnie was asked wehter he expects the new board to come to him in 8 weeks and offer him a contract.
"I dont know what they want, or what they're going to do. I think in 8-12 weeks it gives a message of we'll know where we are, wether we're going to play at this level again or League 1, basically I think thats one of the reasons why they're waiting."

"But this is'nt about me, it's all about the football club we have to make sure that Rotherham United have a football club and that Rotherham United play full time, People may think what am I talking about but there's a lot of hard times before we get the good times back here, we have to tighten the belt, we have to make sure the new group can make it work. Because if they dont make it work then we're going to be in big trouble."
