With other results in the division going for the Millers, Boss Ronnie Moore was happy with the point taken at Crewe, but he felt we had made enough chances to win the game.

"It was a horrible game with so much at stake for both teams but overall we had the better chances but we weren’t ruthless enough in their penalty area.

If we had got a goal it would have settled us down but it’s a point nearer the safety mark although it would have been nice to have all three. The weather didn’t help, the wind played havoc at times.

I was disappointed we didn’t get a penalty in the first half when John Mullin was brought down by the keeper. Unfortunately the referee didn’t give it although the linesman had a clear view and how he didn’t give it is beyond me." Ronnie said.

Missed Chance

Ronnie obvisouly wasnt impressed with the referee, and wasnt best pleased with his forwards either, "The cross from Monkhouse when Proctor got underneath it was crying out for someone to get on the end of, it was a great ball.

"The strikers had an off-day today and the one where we had 4 or 5 attempts at it, we should have scored. But at least we were positive and took the game to them, and the last 15 minutes it was us that was looking to get the goal and win the game."

We've slept once in the first half where their lad came in and cracked one against the post but overall we were the better team. It's a pity we couldnt win today with the other results going our way, it would have taken some of the pressure off, but now it's just 4 points to go. With another big game coming on Tuesday."
