He told today's Star: "This is what managers, staff and players are here for - to play football and everybody really is looking forward to getting things under way tomorrow to start on this journey.
"We have had the administration and points deduction threat hanging over us for so long but we are now focused on what we are about and we would all love to get off to a great start and to starting making inroads into that points deficit straight away."
