Speaking to the Star, the one time Millers striking hero reflects on his first managerial appointment amidst the current plight at a financially unbalanced Millmoor.

"I have loved every minute of it. It has been difficult at times but that's football management.

"There are different challenges at every club and there are times when you go through the mill, but I am hoping there is a brighter spot on the horizon.

"You have to move on and put things like Saturday's defeat behind you. I think footballers in general tend to be resilient.

"At times like this you have to look at how you are doing things and re-visit things.

"I think the direction from myself and the staff has to be spot-on now. There has been a blip and we have got to pick up.

"Hopefully we are seeing signs of things picking up. So we are hoping that this weekend will be a lot different. You don't become a bad side overnight."

The Millers take a trip to Shrewsbury's New Meadow this weekend looking to bouce back to winning ways, we'll have full match coverage and preview as always.

Meanwhile the reserves are at home to Darlington tonight, kick off 7pm and admission is free.
