News broke on Friday that the Millers had seen a six figure bid rejected by Peterborough for striker Liam Hatch, however speaking to todays Star, the boss denies making the bid, but does admit to enquiring about players.
"I'm not going to say I haven't spoken with certain people about certain players but no offer by me or, to my knowledge, by Rotherham United, has been lodged with any club." he said.
"I have made an inquiry about a certain player at a certain club but I regard these as private conversations or, if taken any further, private business dealings. Of course, we are interested in players and I'm not going to say I haven't spoken to certain people about particular players becoming available. That will remain so. But I do not do business in public." he added.
