Rioting across the London borough and also further north means tonights games at West Ham, Crystal Palace and Charlton have been cancelled on Police advice whilst chiefs are set to meet the FA later this morning to decide the fate of England's clash with Holland at Wembley on Wednesday.
Disorder continued into a third night as areas of Croydon, Clapham, Hackney and Ealing were the worst affected - hit by looters, rioters and burning buildings whilst a stand off in Birmingham city centre where the England cricket team were locked in their hotel ahead of their game with Inida on Thursday, was reported.
Police have recommended all football games in the capital be postponed. A Metropolitan Police spokesman added: "Every football match in London is subject to assessment around police resources."
The Millers take on Leicester tonight in the Carling Cup at Don Valley, 7.45pm.
UPDATE: England's clash with Holland tomorrow has now been postponed for safety issues (10am, Tuesday 9th).
