Right place, right time for Hoskins

Hoskins, who arrived as a sub 10 minutes before scoring the winner and the Millers' first goal of the season, hopes this will kick start the lads and move them in the right direction. He insists his strike was all about being in the crucial position to finish off good work done by his team mates.

The striker told the official site: "It was good to get on and grab the winning goal. It came when Pablo Mills played a long ball upfield and Delroy Facey hooked it across the face of goal."

"I just managed to be in the right place to turn the ball home. It was nothing more than we deserved as we had been the better team for most of the game and it made it an enjoyable journey home. "

"It will also help me to get back into the starting line up again after I missed out on the first few games. I had played alongside Delroy in the pre-season games but then got an injury that saw Dave Hibbert come into the team. "

"Now I will just have to try and keep scoring to get my regular place back in the team as it could be an important season for me. I have stopped setting myself scoring targets as I have done in the past as all that matters is the team to win and it doesn't matter who scores."
