The Millers were a mix of youth team and first-teamers but were made to work hard for the win against the Unibond League One team.

Gaffer Mark Robins told todays Rotherham Star that he was more concerned with the fitness and application of the players than the result.

"Results aren't really that important in pre-season matches, although obviously we like to win games. Mainly, these types of games are about fitness levels, but it's also about individual performance."

"To get the fitness levels required you've got to work hard, but one or two didn't do that in the first half." he added.

Millers: Oxley, Tonge, Darkin, Morrison, Joseph, Haggerty, Yates, Todd, Burchill, Cahill, Rhodes. Subs: Darley, Vernon, Tinto, Hemsley, Newsham.
