Reid placed on transfer list by Millers

As reported here at MAD last Friday morning, Reid, 20, handed in a request to leave Don Valley after interest from higher division clubs and a bid of £100,000 from MK Dons was rejected.

Following today's decision to review the request, Rotherham United released a short statement saying:

"Following a board meeting we have reluctantly decided to place Reuben Reid on the transfer list at his own request."

Reid joined from Plymouth last summer and finished with 19 goals last season but has stalled in talks over a contract extension.

He still has a year on his current deal remaining, with Rotherham keen to cash in financially if the player does head for the exit door.
