The Millers came from behind to win 2-1 at the seasons first friendly at the New York Stadium, with Alex Revell and Danny Nardiello scoring 2nd half goals.

Speaking to the clubs official website after the game, assistant boss Paul Raynor said; “You’re always pleased with the win, I know it’s only pre-season, but Bolton Wanderers are going to be challengers in the Championship this season. You can see the quality Dougie has got in his side, and the quality that was on show tonight."

“I was pleased with the boys out there tonight, and the strikers’ work when they were out of possession. It’s early days yet, we said how pleased we were with the week in Scotland, and we knew the opposition would get higher and higher which it is doing, but it was nice to win, there were some excellent individual performances out there tonight, and a good team performance.”

The Millers came through the game with no injury worries however Claude Davies was subbed as a precaution; “His  levels are good, after coming back a bit later than the rest of the boys, but he’s really stepped up the pace and worked well with Paul Warne. He got a bit of a knock in the first half, and wanted to carry on, but we can’t take any chances. We’ve been really fortunate with injuries we certainly won’t risk any of the players, so we took him off and he should be fine for Saturday.” Raynor added.

Transfer listed duo Lionel Ainsworth and Kayode Odejayi didn't feature in the 23 strong squad and will probably feature in tonights game at Ilkeston, KO 7:30pm, although a strong squad will still be present.
