Despite Alan Knill taking charge of tomorrows game against Preston, new boss Mick Harford has told the players that they have 5 games to impress, in an interview with the Yorkshire Post (which was showing RUFC in a positive light for a change!!!) Harford said, "When that first whistle blows, it is Judgement Day, and everyone is being assessed, I have got five weeks until the season finishes to look at the squad in training and in competitive matches. They are five games that I want to win and in that time I will also be deciding who I want to keep."

Harfold will have to work without masses of money, althought the board have stated they will back him as much as possible, but hes not worried about the tight budget he told Radio Sheffield, "I think todays football, the majority of football clubs work on tight budget, especially in the lower leagues. So you know theres restrants on you and theres not fortunes to spend, I fully understand that and I'm happy to work withen the restrants the chairman and board of directors have given me."

Next seasons aim is to get promotion back to the Championship, and both Harford and chairman Peter Ruchniewicz are both wanting a swift return.

"Promotion is the aim next season and I will be working tirelessly to get this club in a position to challenge over the next three months. And if the players show they are worthy of a chance, they will be given it," Harford told the Yorkshire Post.

"It is already a decent squad and, hopefully, if we can get them playing the way I want we will have success. We will be one of the favourites to go up next season – but that is not a bad thing." he added.

Meanwhile Ruchniewicz told Radio Sheffield "We've got to give the person a chance but we are impatient, Mick's package is such that there is a heavy incentive to get promotion back the first time."
