Pope and Warrington in fitness battle

Last updated : 02 October 2009 By Deano
Warrington played through the pain barrier in Tuesday's loss at Northampton after a first half challenge left him with a knee problem.

Pope is hopeful of being fit to face the club he left in the summer after coming off just before the break in the same game with a back injury, but both players didn't train yesterday.

Boss Ronnie Moore told the Star he hopes Pope will be fit though - "We'll give him every chance. If it means a late decision then we'll take that. Certainly the lad will be desperate to play."

The Millers are looking to bounce back with a bang after only one win in the last four and a 3-1 reverse at Sixfields saw them slip out of the top three.
