Players won't let it slip - Thornber

"We have players here who have come through adversity in the past two or three years and they have always come back stronger and I expect the same this time," said Thornber speaking to the Star.

"We all had a chat and they were told it would be a real shame if they let it go. But they are all really good pros, there are no bad eggs in there, and they are all focused on what they are trying to achieve.

"I don't think it will be a problem. They want to continue doing well - they certainly handled all that went off late last week, very well indeed."

Thornber has been at the club seven years and is currently working with Alan Crawford and senior player Paul Warne until a new manager and backroom team is in place.

"I have been involved with the careers of such as Stephen Brogan, Jamie Green, Ryan Taylor, who have come through the ranks and I know most of the players because I've been around the club a few years now," added Thornber.
