"I'm sorry to see Ian leave us but Rotherham have been tracking him for some 18 months." Tranmere manager Les Parry told the Press Association.
"We have been negotiating an extended contract with Ian for some months. Unfortunately, we were not able to come to an agreement and he has decided to take the opportunity presented from Rotherham."
"Ian has been a great servant to Tranmere Rovers and I have enjoyed a close relationship with him as both a physio and manager. I'd like to thank him for his time at the club and wish him all the best for the future." he added.
