Evans landed the 24 year-old on a two year deal this week and he spoke of his delight to have landed one of his main targets of the summer.

I can understand why Scunthorpe paid Crewe £300,000 for him and a year or 18 months ago we might have been talking a seven-figure fee because in the past he has been linked with clubs in the Premier League.
“He was my first priority when I came here and we're delighted to have him. He's technically outstanding, wholehearted and aggressive. He's got the whole repertoire." added the gaffer.
