Breaking news on Radio Sheffield and here at MillersMAD HQ last night confirmed Hoskins and his advisors had rejected the club's proposal, now the 20 year old's manager tells the fans he's very disappointed with the decision and there may not be an opportunity for discussions in the future.

Speaking to the Rotherham Star, Knill explained: "I'm disappointed because it was a good offer and one that was appropriate for a player of his age.
"Will has been taking advice on this and he and his advisers have decided against what we put on the table. I don't think it has anything to do with money.

"I told Will at the start of the season that if he did well then I would reward him for doing so, not tie him to the football club," said Knill.

"I am honouring my promise to give him more money if he did well. I have known the lad and worked with him since he was 15 and have always been honest with him and I want the best for Will Hoskins. The contract was always in Will's favour but they see it another way."

The Star also reports that Knill indicated there are no plans to up the original offer at the moment.

"I am under no pressure to sell Will Hoskins come January," added Knill. "His current contract runs to the end of the season. If he was to move on then we would, as he is under 24, be able to go to a tribunal if a fee had not been agreed.

"I just think it was a good deal for a lad of his age and now I just want to get down to concentrating on this weekend's game at Cheltenham."
