No old pals act for Johnny

Former Millers Kevin Ellison and Nick Fenton will more than likely line up against us tomorrow, but Johnny Mullins expects Jim Bentley's men to provide the Millers with a tough game and no thoughts of close season holidays.

"Heads can be on the beach for some teams at this time of year but if you know Morecambe's manager, he is a very passionate man. Thinking back, I didn't enjoy playing against him so I know he will have them up and ready." Mull told the Advertiser.

"Morecambe is a difficult place to go and one thing you know with them, they're never easy. They're solid and they have some experienced players like Nick Fenton and Kev Ellison, to name just a few, who are really good pros. Kev won't let me have any banter because he's got too much for anyone but it will be good to see him. He's a good lad and so is Nick. They'll try and get one over us and we can't let that happen.”

Looking at the remaining games, Mulls believes the Millers have what it takes to take 3rd place; “Teams around us have still to play each other and, of course, Cheltenham beat Northampton on Monday which was a good result because we have a couple of games in hand on Cheltenham. We are looking at other results but if we take care of our last six games then hopefully that could see us over the line."

“This really is the business end of the season and we can't afford to be brittle now. We've got to be men, stand up and be counted and show how good we are. We are hurting from our defeat at Gillingham and as disappointed as we are, we fully believe we are capable of reaching our ultimate goal.” he added
