The left-back was harshly handed a straight red card for violent conduct in Saturday's goalless draw with Barnet and will begin a three-match ban.
On-loan full-back Callum Kennedy, who returned from a one-match suspension and illness to take his place on the bench against the Bees, will replace Newey in the starting line-up.
Fellow loanee Omar Daley will be unavailable to face his parent club due to an agreement between the sides, but Ian Thomas-Moore could feature following his return from a hamstring problem.
Meanwhile, Captain Ryan Cresswell is back in full training and could be in line to feature against Bury at the weekend.
