The area where the new ground is located was in the New York area of Rotherham many years ago and the previous building, Guest & Chrimes, moved onto the site back in 1857 where it constructed water valves and taps for the famous American state.
Chairman Tony Stewart has always favoured the New York theme but it's had mixed reaction from the clubs supporters.
The Foundry and The Waterfront Stadium were the other shortlisted names for the 12,000 all seater complex, which is scheduled to open in July next year, whilst the Foundry was a popular choice in the MillersMAD fan polls.
