New Boys Happy To Be Here

Partridge, who won himself a two year contract, has told the official site how he came to his decision: “I'm happy to be here. It's been a summer where I have had a couple of options but after speaking to the manager and the owners, this club seems to be the right one for me at this moment in time, it's certainly going in the right direction..

“I know it's going to be a tough season but we have some good young players and I am sure we are on the up. I see the minus ten start as a challenge and when you consider the run the lads had at the end of last season, it's encouraging.

Partridge played at this level on loan at Bristol Rovers and hopes to be a regular feature in the team. “I want to play week in, week out and hopefully I will be able to do that although I know I have no divine right to do so”, he added. “I prefr to play on the left side although I am happy to play on the right or just behind the front two, once I am in the team I'll play anywhere.”

Wiseman, an England U20 International, has signed a six month loan deal with the club having an option to extend it. Of the Millers, Scott said: “I know Rotherham United like to play football and do things right, I know we'll be starting on minus ten points but that hasn't worried me at all. I have spoken to the manager and I know he is confident we can get out of that problem.

Wiseman sees his pace as his ultimate strength and hopes to clinch a longer deal if he impresses: “I know a couple of the lads here already and I'm sure I'll find my feet. I am here initially for six months but that could be extended for the rest of the season.”

MillersMAD wish Richie and Scott every success with the Millers.
