My heart's always been here - Ronnie

The 56 year-old is back in the Rotherham hotseat after his sacking in 2005 but under a fresh regime, ground and new stewardship, is confident things can be better than his previous eight year stint.

Talking to the press this morning, Moore said: "It feels magnificent to be back.

"My heart has always been here, I love the place and the fans have been fantastic in my first spell even with the dodgy last year they still stood by me. The pleasing thing for me is that I know a lot of the supporters have been shouting for me to be the boss here. The Chairman made me wait and grilled me but I am pleased that I have got through after 50 people applied for the job.

"The job wasn't handed to me, the Chairman didn't have a knee jerk reaction, he took his time and did it his way, so it is more pleasing for me that the outcome is a positive one."

The club have constructed a three year plan to be back in the Championsip and that's the ultimate goal for Moore and assistant Jimmy Mullen, aswell as plans for a new stadium. MillersMAD understands further meetings with the council and a prospective new site this week and the football club have been positive.

Moore continued: "In the three year plan that we have we want to be playing in the Championship, there is no doubt about it. That puts pressure on the Manager but that is what football is all about. We have a squad here that I think are more than capable of getting out of this division this year. They have proved they are capable in the past so I don't see why that has to change.

"I think I am a better manager and that comes with experience. I have definitely mellowed if you like but I am still a ranter and raver on the sidelines because that's ingrained in me. You do learn to become more composed as a Manager and I have certainly done that.

"People keep talking about Ronnie Moore long ball. I don't know where that comes from because last time we were here we played with wingers and we got crosses in the box," he added.

"There are times when the long ball is necessary but I want to state now that Ronnie Moore is not a long ball Manager."
